My hope is that this blog will be both a spirtual and a physical journey. Please feel free to follow along as I share my successes and struggles to become more displined in both my spiritual and physical life. I beleive that God desires to be the Lord of my entire life which includes not only my actions and attitudes, but also my body as well.

1 Month 1 Week
Today is the end of another week and therefore it is weigh-in day. I was unable to weigh in this morning because I forgot my gym pass. In addition, I slept in this morning. However, I did start with a good breakfast of oatmeal with fruit in it, and a large unsweet tea from McDonald's. For lunch I went to Diego's Mexican restaurant in Flippin, AR. I counted out my 10 chips with salsa, ordered the pollo Monterey (grilled chicken covered with grilled vegetables, cheese, Mexican rice, and refried beans), and drank a Diet Coke. For dinner I had 1 piece of pizza (four cheese and tomato), and a bowl of spaghetti with sauce and deer meat.
My oldest son had a choir concert tonight so the whole family went to the concert. After the kids went to bed I went to the gym to weigh in and to work out. I walk/jogged on the treadmill for 34 minutes. I jogged for 18 minutes of that time and walked the other 16 minutes. The cool thing is that I am able to jog more, and that I was also able to jog 8 minutes nonstop at the end. After using the treadmill I then rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes. After my aerobic exercise I used one of the back machines and one of the ab machines. I did three sets of 10 on each machine.
After working out I weighed in. Tonight when I weighed in I was 311 lbs. SO last week I only lost one pound, but it is still progress in the right direction. This week I will try to be more deliberate and disciplined with my food choices. Since I was a little hungry when I got home after working out and shopping at Wal-Mart I ate three almonds.
